Many places have fire hydrant boxes equipped with fire hoses, but most people are not familiar with the standard operation. Incorrect installation can easily cause damage to the hose, detachment of the interface, and interruption of water supply. Mastering the correct operation is necessary to be effective in the early stages of a fire.
Laying water hoses is the first step. Avoid sharp bends and dead bends during installation, as bending can significantly reduce the pressure resistance; At the same time, do not twist the water hose, as twisting it after being filled with water and pressurized can easily cause the interface to loosen and leak water. When there are sharp stones, steel bars, and glass fragments on the ground, they should be avoided to prevent scratching the pipe body; Vehicles need to crush water hoses, and water hose bridge protection must be installed. Vehicles are prohibited from directly crushing water hoses. Vertically laying water hoses upstairs, special water hose hooks should be used to fix them, relying on the hooks to share the weight of the water hose and avoid the interface from being pulled off. Before connecting the water hose, clean the mud and debris inside the interface, ensure that the sealing ring is intact and not damaged, and tighten the docking in place.
After filling with water, do not drag the water hose on the ground to move. If you need to adjust the position, try to lift it up and move it to reduce the wear of the outer weaving layer. When using in a fire scene, try to avoid high temperature flames and components to prevent the inner lining from melting and the woven layer from burning and damaging; Stay away from corrosive substances such as acid, alkali, oil stains, etc. Once contaminated, clean and dry them in a timely manner.
⚠️ Important reminder: Fire hoses are suitable for extinguishing initial fires caused by solid combustibles; Live equipment that has not been powered off or has a large amount of oil fires should not be used blindly to prevent electric shock and the spread of flames. The fire is spreading rapidly and there is thick smoke. Please evacuate first and call 119. Do not forcefully extinguish the fire.
